What is an implant?

It is a capsule the size of a match inserted inside the skin on a woman’s hand; it gradually releases progesterone in the bloodstream, enabling protection from unwilling pregnancy, within the next five years
Progesterone in the blood stops the ovulation and thickens the secrete inside the cervix in order to stop sperm from entering

What are the advantages?
